Origami, Book 2

The fascinating art of origami, or Japanese paper-folding, has been practiced in Japan for centuries. With the enthusiastic response to the first book on this subject, the publishers offer this companion volume as a further guide to the charming art. The book is well illustrated, and clearly written by the same author, Florence Sakade, who in this second book introduces a wider range of origami creations to give three-dimensional effects.

Accompanied by more than 100 self-explanatory diagrams, the remarkably clear and easy-to-follow instructions are designed to provide both young and old with many hours of creative enjoyment. Introduce here are many kinds of animals, together with clowns, flowers, candy boxes, and boats —all objects loved by children everywhere. A section on finger-play also presents one of the many practical uses for the art.
