Concerto campestre

"Based on a 19th-century episode, the narrative depicts a young woman who becomes pregnant out of wedlock, her hardhearted father, and her lover. The reconstruction of the legend is framed by an idyllic and pastoral atmosphere filled with musical connotations, hence the title of the novel"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
